Anthony Trollope, He Knew He Was Right

Writings

There is no way of writing well and also of writing easily. (1883)

Trollope was a prolific writer, penning 47 novels and 19 collections of short stories, along with other articles, reviews and non-fiction works.  He worked with illustrators that helped bring visual imagery to his stories; many of his works were initially featured in periodic serials and parts before being sold in book form by one of several publishers.  As a popular literary figure Trollope faced continuous critical scrutiny, drawing his share of both enthusiasts and detractors.  Click on the titles below to explore his works.
